Dr. Ajeng Puspitasari is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in psychotherapy for depression, anxiety, suicide and self-injurious behaviors, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She is board-certified in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and provides specialty treatments, including Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Behavioral Activation, Exposure Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Guided by evidence-based practice, cultural humility, and a recovery-oriented approach, Dr. Puspitasari is committed to supporting adolescents, and adults in coping with life challenges and pursuing a thriving life.

Dr. Puspitasari received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She completed her predoctoral internship at Brown University in behavioral medicine, where she was trained to treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, sleep disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and challenges faced by those with chronic medical conditions such as cardiovascular illnesses, diabetes, and metabolic problems. Dr. Puspitasari completed her post-doctoral training at Indiana University, where she gained expertise in developing and implementing psychotherapeutic interventions in diverse clinical settings.

Currently, Dr. Puspitasari is a Clinical Professor and Director for Clinical Training at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) Department of Psychology. Prior to co-founding the Center for Evidence-Based Practice, Dr. Puspitasari was an assistant professor of psychology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minnesota, where she was also a senior associate consultant in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology. Additionally, she served as the Regional Executive Director of Clinical Services at Rogers Behavioral Health, where she oversaw the implementation of evidence-based treatments for partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs in nine clinics across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Colorado. She provided supervision for specialty programs for depression, trauma, eating disorders, and OCD and anxiety disorders.

Dr. Puspitasari has co-authored book chapters, published scholarly articles, and provided continuing education training in the United States and internationally. She was the co-president of the Process-Based Therapy Special Interest Group within the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science. She serves as an advisory committee member for the American Psychological Association’s Measurement-Based Care and Mental and Behavioral Health Registry. She has previously served on the diversity, equity, and inclusion committees at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Brown University, and Mayo Clinic.
